Operating from Haern Caduch keep, carved into the stone of the Amell Mountains, the School of the Bear forged resilient, fearless warriors. Witchers of the Bear School were made to endure a trial of the mountain as part of their training, where countless frozen corpses of fallen students strewn about the cliffs served as sobering reminders to the danger of their trade. Due to the setting and manner of their training, many Bears often chose to travel to the Skellige Isles, where their skills could be used to their fullest potential. Bears hold little value in camaraderie and brotherhood. They do not adhere to a strict code nor do they serve their own egos. Instead, they focus solely on the task at hand, choosing to work alone. With self-reliance at the forefront of their philosophy, their training prioritizes defensive skills. Through their mastery of the Quen Sign, heavy armor and crossbows, they are able to keep enemies at bay until they find the right opportunity to deal a devastating blow.
